Entering Addresses in Elite

  • Use “Official USPS Abbreviations” when creating new units (see below)
  • Use the Suite Box to enter unit number, you must enter Apt, Ste etc in the Suite Box

Tips

  • When the address consists of a building number and an apartment number, USPS recommends the following formats: Building A Apartment 12 should be Apt A-12 (when there is a building number, you do not need to use the building abbreviation)
  • When the address is an apartment that consists of both a letter and a number: Apartment A12 should be Apt A12, Apartment 1B should be Apt 1B

Common USPS Abbreviations (**Do Not Use Punctuation**)

  • North, South, East, or West – Only use the first letter. (Example: 125 N Elm St)
  • Northwest, Southwest, etc. – NW, SW, etc.

Secondary Unit Designator (**Do Not Use Punctuation**)

  • Apartment – Apt
  • Suite – Ste
  • Lot – Lot

Street Suffixes (**Do Not Use Punctuation**)

  • Avenue – Ave
  • Boulevard – Blvd
  • Circle – Cir
  • County Road – County Road (spell this out)
  • Court – Ct
  • Drive – Dr
  • Highway – Hwy
  • Lane – Ln
  • Parkway – Pkwy
  • Street – St
  • Way - Way
