How We Operate
The Colorado Division of Housing's top priority is increasing the availability of safe, affordable housing in Colorado, and we do this by assisting developers, housing authorities, non-profit agencies, local governments, and residents.
Offices and Teams
Office of Homelessness Initiatives (OHI)
Continuum of homelessness response programs, from prevention to street outreach and emergency shelter, to temporary assistance and supportive housing.
Office of Housing Recovery (OHR)
Provides emergency rental assistance and emergency mortgage assistance.
Office of Housing Finance and Sustainability (OHFS)
Grant and loan programs to preserve and build affordable housing; homeowner repair programs; down payment assistance programs; provide technical assistance to local communities on housing projects and programs.
Office of Rental Assistance (ORA)
Statewide housing authority administering over 9,000 state and federal vouchers in partnership with local agencies.
Office of Regulatory Oversight (ORO)
Oversees the regulatory functions of DOH, which includes the regulatory authority granted the state for oversight of factory built structures; hotels, motels, multi-family units, and foundations in areas of the state where no local building department exists; standards for accessible housing; and mobile home parks.
Community Access Team (CAT)
Helps people with disabilities stay in their homes and communities and out of nursing facilities or other institutions; rental Assistance; IRSS home inspections; home modifications.
