Data and Impact
The following resources provide valuable reporting and metrics on the Division of Housing's efforts to address homelessness through various grant programs and initiatives. These resources highlight the Built for Zero Colorado collaboration and the State of Homelessness Report, which work together toward the common goal of ensuring that every Coloradan has access to safe, stable, and affordable housing. This information offers insight into the impact of these efforts, including financial awards, key metrics, and ongoing projects designed to transform the landscape of homelessness in Colorado.
This inaugural report provides meaningful insight into the current state of homelessness in Colorado, including who is experiencing homelessness, how communities are responding, and the solutions needed to end it. By bringing together multiple data sources and perspectives, it lays the groundwork for deeper collaboration, greater efficiency, and a united approach to homelessness data reporting across Colorado.
In 2019, Colorado partnered with Community Solutions to become the first Built for Zero (BFZ) partner to systemically address homelessness at a state level. Organizing began by uniting public, private, healthcare, veteran, and Continuum of Care (CoC) agencies around a common vision: a state where homelessness is rare and brief.
Our statewide systems-change approach overcomes fragmentation to build a more effective homeless response system. System collaboration, utilization of resources, and coordination of efforts are improving, resulting in better data quality, better housing outcomes, and population-level reductions in homelessness.
