Manufactured housing serves as a key part of the solution to Colorado’s affordable housing crisis. At a fraction of the average cost per square foot compared to site-built homes, manufactured housing is one of the largest sources of unsubsidized affordable housing in the country.

The federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has issued a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) appropriating $235 million in competitive grant funding for the preservation and revitalization of manufactured housing across the country. The Preservation and Reinvestment Initiative for Community Enhancement (PRICE) Main grant is intended to support communities in their efforts to maintain, protect, and stabilize manufactured housing and manufactured housing communities (MHCs). The Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) - Division of Housing (DOH) plans to submit a request for $20 million to serve Coloradans across the state.
