Mobile Home Park Acquisition Fund

Through SB22-160, the Mobile Home Park Acquisition Fund (MHPAF) partners with fund administrators to provide low-interest, flexible loans for the purpose of acquisitions and capital improvement financing to eligible non-profit organizations or resident homeowners in order to allow them to purchase their Mobile Home Park (MHP).

Who is this funding available to?

  • Eligible home owners at mobile home parks across the state of Colorado.

What can I use the funding for?

  • Acquisition and capital improvements of mobile home parks.

Are there any income restrictions? 

  • At least 50% of all homeowner units must serve income no higher than 80% of AMI
  • At least 30% of all homeowner units must serve income no higher than 120% of AMI 
  • The remaining 20% of the homeowner units may be unrestricted for the purpose of incomes.

Are there any other uses for the funds?

  • Thistle also provides awards to help fund Technical Assistance to eligible homeowners seeking to organize and purchase the mobile home park and to help fund stabilization of lot rents and limit increases to ensure long-term affordability of a resident owned mobile home park.
